Terms and Conditions of Event Participation

These Event Participation Terms and Conditions apply to participants attending events organised and managed by Talisman Corporation. (“the Company”).
Participants must agree to these terms and conditions prior to attending the event.

Changes and cancellations of events

  • The Company reserves the right to change the content of these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
  • The Company reserves the right to change the content or dates of the Events without prior notice. If the schedule is changed, the Company will notify participants by posting a notice on the Company’s website, the event’s website, or by other means at the Company’s discretion.
  • The Company reserves the right to cancel the Event due to operational reasons, force majeure such as natural disasters, or other circumstances. In such event, the Company will notify participants by posting a notice on the Company’s website, or by other means at the Company’s discretion.

Application and Eligibility for Participation

  • The application to participate in the event will be invalidated in the following cases:
    • If there is any false information in the application
    • Unauthorized access to the event site, unauthorized use of e-mail addresses, or other illegal activities
    • If we determine that the application was automatically submitted by a program, etc.
    • Violation of these Terms and Conditions
    • Other cases in which the Company deems participation in the event to be inappropriate.
  • In the event that the applicant suffers damages as a result of the invalidation of the application to participate in the event in accordance with the preceding paragraph, the Company shall not compensate for any losses incurred.
  • Some PCs, mobiles, smart phones, tablets, etc. may not be able to apply due to their model, OS, browser, etc.
  • In the event that the applicant is unable to apply for the event due to a malfunction of the communication terminal used by the applicant or the service provided by the telecommunications carrier, or in the event of information leakage or other damage to the applicant or other third parties, the Company shall not be liable for any damage, except in cases where the damage is attributable to the Company.
  • The right to participate in the event is not transferable to third parties.

Prohibited Conduct

  • The following actions by participants are prohibited. Participants who engage in any of the following prohibited acts may be warned by our employees or other event staff, or asked to leave the venue:
    • Interfering with the operation of the event
    • Disturbing the Company or other participants
    • Soliciting or scouting for specific companies or job placement services other than ours
    • Solicitation for a specific religion
    • Election campaign activities
    • Discriminatory words or actions toward others
    • Words or deeds that defame others or invade others’ privacy
    • Words or deeds contrary to laws and regulations or public order and morals
    • Loud private speech during lectures or other events where private speech is prohibited
    • Eating and drinking during events where eating and drinking are prohibited
    • Smoking outside of smoking areas
    • Filming or recording of events without our permission
    • Uncooperative behavior with our infection control measures
    • Other activities that the Company deems inappropriate for participation in the event
  • The Company shall not compensate any Participant for any damage incurred by the Company as a result of any action taken by the Company pursuant to the preceding paragraph.

Copyrights and Other Rights

  • Our employees and other event staff may photograph and record the event.
  • Copyrights to all photographs, videos, articles, and other works generated in connection with the event belong to the Company or contractors commissioned by the Company.
  • The Company may publish event works on the Company’s website and in other media such as the Internet, newspapers, and magazines.
  • Participants shall participate in this event with the prior consent that their images, photographs, voice and/or likenesses will be recorded, disclosed and used as specified in the preceding paragraph, and shall not exercise their rights of likeness, privacy or publicity, and shall not claim any compensation for the recording, disclosure and use at the Company’s discretion.

Disclaimer

  • The Company shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, theft, or any other accident to participants at the event, unless it is attributable to the Company.
  • If a Participant causes any damage to the Company, other Participants or any other third party due to a violation of these Terms and Conditions, the Participant shall indemnify the Company for such damage.
  • If a dispute arises between a Participant and another Participant or other third party at the Event, the Participant shall resolve such dispute at its own expense and responsibility, and the Company shall not be liable in any way, except where the dispute is attributable to the Company.

About Personal Information

Exclusion of Antisocial Forces

  • Participants shall ensure that they do not fall under any of the following items:
    • Being a member of a crime syndicate, a person for whom five years have not passed since he/she ceased to be a member of a crime syndicate, a quasi-organized member of a crime syndicate, a company related to a crime syndicate, a extortionist, a person who is a target of social activities or a special intelligence crime syndicate, or other person equivalent thereto (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Anti-Social Forces”).
    • Having a relationship that is deemed to involve the use of antisocial forces, such as for the purpose of seeking unjust profits for oneself or a third party, or for the purpose of inflicting damage, etc., on a third party.
    • Having a relationship that is deemed to involve antisocial forces, such as providing funds, etc. or benefits to antisocial forces.
  • If a participant falls under any of the preceding paragraphs, the Company will refuse participation in the event.

Governing Law and Court of Jurisdiction

The laws of Japan shall apply to all matters related to these Terms and Conditions. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any disputes related to these Terms and Conditions or the Event.
